On the Southern Coast, not far from the town of Galle, Jetwing Kurulubedda is a secluded retreat in the wooded area of a paddy field. Situated near the village of Mahamodera it consists of only two private dwellings. This unique boutique hotel combines the wonders of nature with all the necessary modern comforts effortlessly. Hidden amidst the trees and the foliage of an untamed environment the hotel allows you to create a world of your own. Accommodation This beautifully designed property has two private dwellings which blend in seamlessly with its natural and lush surroundings. Close to the city of Galle but cocooned in a typical Sri Lankan village, Jetwing Kurulubedda is a secluded and luxurious villa. Each of the two dwellings at Jetwing Kurulubedda has been aesthetically furnished so as not jar on its natural surroundings. Rustic in appearance but completely modern in facilities, the fully furnished bedroom suite made up of polished wooden floors also has a large terrace – which opens out onto a canopy of trees and overlooks the paddy field – and a private plunge pool below your own dwelling. Throw cushions, soft pillows, and billowing nets create a cozy atmosphere that is complimented by chirping crickets. Dining The novel approach to food at Jetwing Kurulubedda is found in the simplicity and pure deliciousness of the cuisine prepared at this secluded retreat. An added appeal is the exquisite surroundings which nurture authentic village cooking at its best. Rice harvested from the surrounding paddy fields and fresh greens, vegetables and fruit from the garden ensure that the cuisine at Jetwing Kurulubedda is absolutely irresistible. While you are free to eat what you want where and when you please, we recommend our small and cozy restaurant which overlooks a lily pond with mangrove forests and paddy fields as part of its stunning backdrop. Our chef is well versed in Western and Eastern fare but we strongly suggest that you try our crispy pol rotti and ground chilli sambol for breakfast.
