Designed for Natural Living

Set in the heart of Nuwara Eliya town, Ferncliff is an ancestral bungalow dating from the mid-1800s restored to echo the nostalgia of “Little England”. With four rooms and two suites, Ferncliff serves as a tribute to design, layout and the comfort of bungalow living.

For generations, Ferncliff has been a refuge for couples and families alike. It’s central location in Nuwara Eliya allows for guests to explore this historical town that includes a quintessential red brick post office from yesteryear, the Hill Club, The Nuwara Eliya Golf Links, the Victoria Park, Galways Land National Park and the Nuwara Eliya Race Course all within a comfortable stroll. Single Tree Hill, Lovers Leap, Moon Plains, Mount Pidurutalagala and the Botanical Gardens at Hakgala are just a short drive away, while the talismanic Horton Plains offers those who enjoy the outdoors an unforgettable trekking experience among untouched virgin forests and plains.

Come enjoy our hospitality from the very soul of Nuwara Eliya.

"Tradition, great location in a beautiful garden, Great experience, excellent meals, cosy rooms, very customer oriented with customized breakfast to go at 0500 in the morning. Both rooms (totally six rooms only) were quiet and facing the garden. All highlights can be reached by walking"

"A great location to enjoy the best of NE - a warm welcome from Bernard & his staff was always a turn back in time . The property is immaculately maintained and the colonial bungalow is perfect location to explore this area. We arranged day tours through the hotel which worked like clockwork. A little on the expensive side but there again so is most of this area for accommodation!"

"Very charming, British hotel with friendly, extremely helpful staff. The rooms with ancient decor were clean and spacious. The dinner was excellent, served with style in a dining room with open chimney."
