The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce prides itself on the range of services it provides the business community. Whilst our members enjoy unparalleled access to the best that we can offer in terms of ensuring their business growth, we also make sure that the nation as whole, through our direct and indirect links, will benefit from our varied expertise. Our membership range from the sole proprietor to the multinational, encompasses virtually every sphere of economic activity in Sri Lanka - industry, import, export, agriculture, banking, hire-purchase, leasing, tourism, shipping, engineering, mining, consultancy services, wholesale, retail, financial services legal and other services. We function as an effective spokesman of the business sector. Our members serve on various institutions and committees set up by the Government as well as the private sector, either as Chamber nominees or in their personal capacities. We are mainly funded by membership subscriptions and by what we charge for the various technical services we provide; we receive no financial assistance from the Government. We are the focal point for business contacts both locally and abroad and have many specialized committees, affiliated associations and bilateral business councils under our wings.
