BCS Sri Lanka section (BCSSL) was established in 1996. The section has over 2000 corporate members (MBCS) and about 2500 student members. Over 300 members in Sri Lanka are Chartered Information Technology Practitioners (CITP).
BCS frequently respond to the government and media, and provide informed comment and opinion on various topical issues within the IT arena. We advise, inform and influence industry and academic organisations on successful IT implementation, through unbiased recommendations on job roles, skills audits and professional development and deliver rigorous quality professional training recognized world-wide. As the leading learned and professional society for IT, we also aim to ensure we are always at the forefront in thought leadership.
