The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region was the first international branch of CIM, UK and was established on 20th October 1995. Since then, The Institute has campaigned constantly for greater recognition and excellence in the marketing profession in Sri Lanka through marketing education, training and development.
In order to identify and cater to the specific needs of widespread The Institute?? stakeholders, a new operational model with a "Focus Group" structure was introduced which was well accepted and subsequently adopted by other CIM branches and regions.
