Our Vision
After Vasantha Perera returned from his studies in Japan in 1991, he proceeded to turn his family home in Nuwara Eliya into a 12-room hotel. The luxurious facilities offering unparalleled service, quickly gained popularity among both local and international tourists. With the Sunhill Hotel maintaining high occupancy levels, he then decided to expand into excursion packages with a fleet of vehicles. What resulted was a full-blown entry into automotive sales and leasing – the first in the hill country to do so.

Our Story
Sunhill Group of companies which has made a one of the leading entertainment enterprises in the country would be celebrating 20 years on January 16.
The company which started its long journey in Nuwara Eliya has now ambitious plans to move in to the
leisure industry in Malaysia, Dubai and Thailand in 2012. From the day he could remember Wasantha Perera had a passion for the entertainment industry. His character was such that he always thought big and this may be the reason for him to take wing to Japan not only to pursue his studies but also to get employed. After being in Japan for three years he came back to the country to unleash his dream.
Filed with ideas and hungry for opportunities Wasantha struck a right not when he decided to convert their family home ( mahagedara ) in Nuwara Eliya to a star class hotel . The experience gained in Japan helped him to add a rich class of touch to this Rs.12 million venture. He named this 12 room property Sunhill hotel. The quality of service that was offered at the hotel with the personal touch from Wasantha saw Sun Hill gaining in popularity and it soon became the talk of the town.
With Sun Hill maintaining high occupancy levels he decided to introduce excursion packages and bought a fleet
of vehicles including Jeeps. Through his counterparts in Japan, Wasantha moved in to the car sale and leasing business, becoming the first entrepreneur in the hill country to do so. He then diversified in t
