Mission
Provision of Information and Communication Services in a timely manner, through the development of Telecommunication and Information Technology (IT) with the use of latest technology, at costs affordable to the public with nationwide availability to promote wider accessibility while maintaining the integrity and excellence of service as well as the increase of IT literacy levels of the public and availability of Sri Lankan content.

2. Establishing local mirrors of foreign sites so that the access to Sri Lankan sites by public in Sri Lanka exceeds 50% of the total access, within the next five years .

2. The spread of local access Telecommunication network
3. The encouragement of investment towards the same
3. To increase the popularity of ICS through
1. Promotion of affordable costs to the public in the procurement of
a) Information and Communication services
b) Terminal Instruments to access such services
2. Promotion of widespread public access(net-cafe) to ICS
3. The spread of ICS literacy among the public in keeping with state policy
4. To create public awareness and thereby the demand for ICS in interactive multimedia format
4. To promote a regime of e-governance whether it is State, Provincial or Local Government levels achieving the access to services by public without the need of facial contact (thus reducing corruption to bear minimum levels)
