Bajjala Walauve Mario Ananda Abeykoon, born on 12th May 1991, the only son of the veteran, idol of Sri Lankan music industry late Mr. Gration Ananda Abeykoon. Inherited with the harmonious, unique, yet versatile voice and the amazing talent in creating original music pieces as a music director, takes up after his father, in his journey of life which he was going to walk together Mario, witnessed to his undoubted amazing talents blessed by Almighty Father, at the tender age of kindergarten, when he played the piano, drums and guitars excelling by himself and in singing his fathers versatile music for religious recordings, and various commercial advertisements, and also winning best vocalist s title at various singing competitions. Mario attended St.Bridget s Convent in the kindergarten and from grade one onwards he has been a loyal and obedient, proud student of St. Josephs College, Colombo 13. He has been serving his alma matter as a Senior Prefect during last three years in school with the blessing of his all respectful teachers who have always guided his way in studies and life. Mario posses the special gift of witnessing his father s works attending his father s musical recordings, live performances on open air stage, and indoors, live telecasts, recoding of commercials, songs, music direction for films and many more since his childhood. Keenly watching his father and growing up with the experience he has gained has brought him to a very matured place in the musical carrier of his life at present being a 21 year old youngster. Mario s, vision of life, is based solely on his creator the almighty God , to whom his father and himself witnesses with the amazing, unique talent gifted. In the family being the youngest, he has a great spot for family, he loves, cares, and always has the intention for the betterment of his family. With the strength, guidance and blessing of his mother, Mr. Srima Chandrani Perera, wife of the veteran singer, she has always been the stronghold for the family to move on in warmth. Nourished with so much love, bondage, Mario is brought up to be a man with great vision, courage, humanity, humbleness, understanding and unlimited blessings of Almighty God.
